Christian Fellowship of Pakistan
Flooding in Pakistan in July/August 2010 was the biggest natural disaster in decades. More than 21 million people were affected, this is more than the combined total of the 2004 Indian Tsunami, 2005 Northwest Pakistan Quake and the 2010 Haiti Quake.
In our flood relief work, we helped the flood victims with medical camps in many flood affected areas as you probably know that the devastation was on a huge scale. From the floodings until October 2010, in our medical camps, our medical team has treated more than 8000 flood victims that were affected by cholera, malaria, flu and skin diseases. People were tremendously blessed by our qualified medical team and by good quality medicine which we gave them freely. And we have provided food, tents, blankets and other relief items to more than 6000 flood victims. Winter is approaching and people were greatly blessed through our last outreach because most of these people did not have blankets and winter beddings. A friend from Germany brought water purification pumps. Five pumps were installed in the flood affected areas. All together about 15000 flood victims have been blessed through our outreaches in southern Punjab. We are planning on doing more medical camps and distribution of winter beddings and blankets in other areas as well. The love of Christ was shared with the flood victims through all of our outreaches. Our teams also prayed with the flood victims. People were blessed and comforted through those prayers as well. Your prayers and support made it possible for us to reach out to the flood victims in their desperate situation. Thank you!
